Join Teri L Reynoso on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2 pm as she discusses Albuquerque’s oldest public library, the Special Collections branch of the Public Library of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. Though a library has stood on the corner of Central and Edith since 1901, the current building just celebrated its 100th anniversary in March 2025. The 1925 Pueblo/Spanish Revival-style building is a registered Albuquerque Historic Landmark in the historic Huning Highlands neighborhood, on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2024.
The program will be held at the Albuquerque Museum at 2000 Mountain Rd. NW in Old Town. Parking is free in the lot south of the Museum. Admission to the Museum and the AHS program is also free.
