EARLY WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS FOCUS ON ALBUQUERQUE

Albuquerque Historical Society - Alabama MilnerOn Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm, Mo Palmer, a NM native, brings her style of humor and story telling for this enjoyable program. She taught the history of NM at Sandia Prep, wrote a history column for the Tribune and authored Albuquerque, Then and Now.

In the olden days most women didn’t work. When they did, available careers included secretary, nurse, teacher and shop girl. Three local women defied the odds to become noted photographers: Eddie Ross Cobb, Alabama Milner and Emma Albright. They documented the history, growth and faces of early Albuquerque.
