History of the Bezemek Dairy in Albuquerque – Who the heck was Bezemek?

Bezemek Dairy Wagon - Albuquerque Historical SocietyBob Smith speaks on James Bezemek, one of the most successful dairy owners and a prominent five-term county commissioner in the 20th century . He is virtually unknown now. Learn about the career of this fascinating man and his family at the July 20, 2014 meeting of the Albuquerque Historical Society when Bob Smith presents ”Who the Heck Was Bezemek?”

Bob was a history major at ENMU and UNM in 1968-70, where he enrolled after four years in the Air Force, following graduation from high school in Galesburg, Illinois in 1963. Bob never completed his degree, but now that he is a retiree with time on his hands, has begun a new career as an amateur historian. Bob has spent the last two years researching the history of the Albuquerque dairy industry and hopes to be able to tell that story in full detail soon.

The program will take place at the Albuquerque Museum.  Parking is free in the lot south of the Albuquerque Museum. Admission to the Museum and AHS program is free”.
