Hunting for Intraterrestrials and Exploration in New Mexico’s Fort Stanton Cave with Diana Northup, Ph.D. and Ronald Lipinski, Ph.D. Hear about the exploration of Fort Stanton Cave in NM, the 15th longest cave in the U.S., by two expert speleologists – Dr. Northup is a world-renowned cave biologist, who investigates the role of microbes in cave formation and possibilities on other planets. Dr. Lipinski (a retired Sandia engineer) has surveyed portions of Carlsbad Caverns and Lechuguilla Cave, is the Vice Chair of the Fort Stanton Cave Study Project. They are part of the new book, “12 Miles from Daylight,” describing the Fort Stanton Cave Study Project, a unique blend of adventure, science, archaeology, history, geology, biology, and hydrology. This is from the State Historian’s office and it deals specifically with the 1910 New Mexico Constitution. It has photos & bios of all the delegates to the 1910 constitutional convention along with the text of the 1910 constitution, the 2012 amended NM constitution and an essay by the Legislative Council Services describing all the changes to the Constitution over the last 100 years. There is also info on president Taft and much more.
